Rodgers is staying in Green Bay. Four years $200 million, with $153 million guaranteed.

Surprised Wilson wanted to be in that division. Tough road every year against KC and SD and even Vegas. Or maybe he won’t approve it?

that's definitely the best QB division in the NFL.

I'm more surprised that Dallas didn't offer Seattle it's entire 2023 through 2030 drafts for Wilson.

Seattle gets a decent haul: QB Drew Lock, tight end Noah Fant, defensive lineman Shelby Harris, two first-round picks, two second-round picks and a fifth-round pick to the Seahawks for Wilson and a fourth-round pick

They already have salary cap problems and are cutting Cooper and asking Dac to take less money.  The Ezekeil Elliot contract hurts the,/

Am I really the only one who thinks Wilson might be more washed up than not at this point?

I don’t know if he is washed up but seems a high price.

i think if seattle felt he was still really good they would have kept him. they got a haul, good move IMO.

He’s only 33. QBs can easily play until 40. Good haul but they won’t be good until they get a really good QB.

without deep knowledge of seattle's roster it felt like they were dying by 1000 cuts. their run of prime russ was over, the roster was pretty bad. sometimes you need to rebuild and i actually respect a team for recognizing that and just moving on while they can get a haul.

Easily is a stretch. Most will never sniff 40

The way guys work to keep in shape and on their nutrition it will happen more often. Rodgers will be next. Just won an MVP at 38.

Look at the NFC West, though.  No better off if he stays there, either.

I think you're mostly right.  I think he's still a pretty good QB, but he hasn't shown any capacity to play at a high level against elite defenses in the postseason in recent years.  I just couldn't see that team winning another championship with him anytime soon.  Wilson with the Seahawks probably plays out a lot like the last years of Brees in NO or Rivers with SD/LA--maybe some playoff appearances here and there, but that's about it.

It's funny to see how many Seahawks fans are losing their minds right now.  Really exposes the bandwagon element of that fanbase.  I know losing franchise players hurts, but getting blindsided over a 7-10 team starting a rebuild is some real galaxy brain crap.

The Seahawks have been a sort of loose rooting interest of mine over the past five years or so (ironically I started liking them better after the Super Bowl years - less grandstanding), and apparently that makes me more loyal than like half of their fans.

I think you're mostly right, but remember Wilson's penchant for scrambling as compared with guys like Brady/Brees/Rivers.  Could cut a couple years off.

I don’t think Wilson is Heineke bad, but I don’t see him as a legitimate threat to go deep in the playoffs, especially in  the AFC and the broncos have bet a lot that he is still that guy
