I believe so.

There are some Carabao Cup games today and tomorrow involving those teams.  I believe that used to be the FA Cup?  In any event it’s soccer. Or is it futbol?
Here’s some info. It’s the EFL Cup.

With Mbappe, Neymar and Messi up front wondered how they ever lose. Looked at their record and they have not lost in league this year. Two draws.

Donnarumma is like the only PSG player who wasn't in the WC.  I can't recall who said it (Pirlo?), but someone remarked that "the World Cup without Italy is like a pizza without cheese"   Obviously he had not been to New Haven.

I think it's the old League Cup, the third-in-prestige competition after the FA Cup and the regular season.

I think I saw he's getting $75  million as a salary. To me, that's a better situation.

I’m assuming all of his sponsorships are over

He can play at 50 percent effort and produce more.  And won’t have to worry about getting benched. For more money. His endorsements won’t end. He will still be adored by many.

Been a complete pod today watching man u man city, everton Southampton, now Brentford Bournemouth.

If Everton were relegated, would they have to (practically) sell Pickford?

Then there's the matter of being relegated with a boatload of new debt for the unopened stadium.  Yikes

I would think Pickford is one of their most valuable assets if they are relegated. Don't teams tend to dump players after relegation to pay bills and reallocate assets?

So, I sort of hate to say it, but I think I have to root for Arsenal down the stretch. Anything but City. Rooting for City is like rooting for ExxonMobil to raise gas prices, lay off refinery workers, and underinvest in maintenance to raise its margin and buyback stock. I will guess MDS is a City fan.

Spurs wiped out Chelsea today, 2 - 0. In spite of injuries, Tottenham is (are??) in 4th place. Perhaps another season in the Champions League?

Liverpool- ManU ... on any given Sunday. Punishes MU's goal difference. Still 7 points above 5th. Puts some pressure on Spurs.

The Global Powerhouse got their Euro '24 qualifying campaign off to a good start with victory over Italy - their first, in Italy, since 1961. Harry Kane becomes the all-time leading goalscorer, for the GP...

Cristiano Ronaldo becomes the all-time most capped player - 198 appearances for Portugal.

And in a Clash Of The Titans, Northern Ireland defeated San Marino.

Plenty of USWNT players with over 200 caps. 26 women total all countries, and 4 top 300. Kristine Lilly tops with 354.

A valid point - although, as I was discussing the men's game, I'd assumed it was self-evident... ;)

I'd love to see San Marino pull some 'Mouse that Roared crap' like Faroe Islands did against Greece.  Like beating Italy at home.
