And Chelsea just fired Thomas Tuchel, who was judged largely responsible for this not-nice play.

He won’t play Pulisic either so good riddance.

Chelsea hasn't been the same since Abrahamovic was pushed out.

haven't heard more details but had heard about the investigation of the incident.

No truth that Rooney subbed himself in for Taxi afterwards.

Spurs still undefeated, even with Manchester City and a point behind Arsenal. COYS.

Decided at the last minute to take in my first DC United game of the year; great weather and a rare day game. (Not seeing any adjacent parking other than $80 for the lot south of the stadium— which it was still today, I had passed and ended up finding another option).

Plus, they featured “fan appreciation day”, so I thought I might have some interesting things associated with that. (They did have a good halftime focus on the retiring Bill Hamid and also Dave Johnson, who is moving on after Apple TV + takes over the MLS games next year)

In addition to finishing dead last in the league with room to spare (as a former season ticket holder, won’t get into the ownership situation other than one specific item), the Nats’ neighbor also seemed to have some issues with the basics today, like clearing the ball and not putting it in your own net.

The capper on “fan appreciation day” was the giveaway item selected for the occasion: two Tide pods and two individual Downy packets. Even heard the security near the stadium exits cracking jokes about it.

Arsenal wins during the entire premier-ship of Liz Truss, says The Guardian:

Quote
Arsenal
Famed for their 2003-04 invincible Premier League season, this could yet be their invincible Truss premiership. All the north London football club need to do is beat Southampton on Sunday and, assuming Truss leaves when she said she will, they will boast a 100% record during her time in No 10.

Philadelphia's Autumn of sporting finals continues with Philadelphia Union reaching the MLS Cup Final, where they'll face LAFC (inc Gareth Bale...)  ;)

With tonight's 3 - 1 defeat, to Ajax, Glasgow Rangers set a new benchmark with the worst record in the history of the Champions League - no points (played six, lost six) and  a goal difference of -20 (the previous record belonged to Dinamo Zagreb, in season 2011 - 12, who had a goal difference of -19).

Spurs defeated Marseillie (with a 95' stoppage-time winner!)to finish top of their group, whilst Liverpool defeated Serie A leaders Napoli 2 - 0.
