I just want something out of him.
...and this in the Post: https://www.washingtonpost.com/sports/2022/04/06/stephen-strasburg-health-future/
Not much good news in this article. Any thoughts to making Strasburg a reliever?
He's under contract for years. If they think a few extra weeks reduces the risk even a small bit, then take the time.
That's pretty much what I meant. Rather than talk about Strasburg as a starter, let him get strong enough to picth an inning. And then three, and then five, and then...
To be fair, I can't count how many times there have been sports related categories that drew zero guesses, let alone correct answers. Seems like that, and the only other category that's routinely met with blank stares is video games.
Smart people don't follow sports.
Stephen Strasburg is expected to start Thursday against the Marlins in Miami, according to two people with knowledge of the Washington Nationals’ plans. Strasburg threw a bullpen session in Miami on Monday, felt good afterward and decided with the team that he’s ready to join the rotation, those two people explained. It would be Strasburg’s first major league appearance since last July, when he underwent surgery for thoracic outlet syndrome.
https://www.washingtonpost.com/sports/2022/06/07/stephen-strasburg-nationals-season-debut/His debut was on June 8, 2010. Strasmas 2.0 was his recovery from TJS. Strasmas 3.0 would be 6/9/10. 12 years and a day.
Have they had 10k yet this season? For that matter, have we?
you can be sure that is Kasten were Marlin's President, there'd be 10,000 Nats fans in the house in Miami.
If Stras strings together 4-5 quality starts, is he a trade candidate, even with 4 more years on that contract?
