I’d like to see Howell get some snaps next week. They might as well give him a chance
They aren't mathematically eliminated, so I doubt we will. I'd like to see him too.The Packers seem to be eliminating them as we speak.
Everything I am reading says they have been eliminated.
I have some vague hope that the team will be sold this off-season and the new owner will be able to clean house
Sounds like a familiar theme around town.
Is there any city that has owners as bad as DC across multiple sports?
Oakland
Season deserved better than 8-8-1. If new ownership is in place by Feb or March, make Aaron Rodgers say no. If offseason ownership change is slow, bring back Heinicke and Howell. New ownership deserves to make the big swing on new QB. They shouldn’t inherit a huge investment they didn’t make.

Unless a sale goes through quickly after the Super Bowl, I dont see any major moves being done. A new owner is going to want a new GM, who, in turn, will want the opportunity to select their head coach and franchise QB
I would gladly trade quick moves if that process takes effect. I'd trade off several seasons for a new owner that is willing to follow the standard NFL football franchise process.
The standard process is to start mediocre and occasionally jump to decent. The teams that get and stay good are the exception to the rule. It usually requires great QBs and great coaches. We've run off great coaches and haven't sniffed a great QB since Sunny
Not sure what you mean by stay successful. Patriots had a great run but now headed downhill. I guess the Steelers but not always a Super Bowl contender. What other franchises have been continually successful over the past 25 years? Can’t think of any in the NFC. They all have down years. Getting a QB is important but SF shows you can build a good team without a star there.
