i'm not sure i've ever seen a storm this big, the eye is still on the far western end of cuba but major bands are already hitting south florida.

Harvey was pretty massive in its own right.  Remember that it made landfall down in south Texas and its outer bands dumped heavy rainfall all the way in Houston.
