Meh, I remain skeptical. He wasnt part of the Dodgers when Friedman came on board and revamped their whole player development, scouting, and analytics. Watson has been a special assistant to Rizzo for the last five years. He's basically an internal hire.

This looks more like re-shuffling the deck chairs on the Titanic

Rizzo only hires his boys and doesn't have any actual interest in revamping his operation. He's more in "the culture is actually damn good" mode than anything because JDP is a stud at his job but no one else in the org is.
