Would like to have seen the coverage deal a bit more with his mid-70's peak - albums like 'Albedo 0.39' and 'Beaubourg', rather than some of the more 'tinkley-bonk' output...

I remember Jon (Anderson) and Vangelis. Think that was the 70s.

The 'Heaven And Hell' album, and then 'Jon And Vangelis'

Ray Liotta, "Shoeless Joe" in Field of Dreams and countless other memorable roles, has died at 67. He was filming a movie in the DR and died in his sleep, no foul play suspected.

Longtime Yes drummer Alan White. Also played with John Lennon, George Harrison and Ginger Baker before Yes.

I enjoyed him, especially on PBS with I think David Gergen.  Decent perspective and did not let his leanings interfere with his analysis.

Maggie Peterson, who played Charlene Darling on the old Andy Griffith show.

The band - the "Darlings", were actually the Dillards, who frequently played the Birchmere back in the 70's and 80's.  Very influential in that they played before a large national audience via their appearances on the Andy Griffith Show, giving bluegrass a much wider exposure than it would have had otherwise. Sheriff Andy Taylor played his own guitar on the show, usually his 1956 Martin D-18.
