Former Redskins QB Dwayne Haskins at age 25 24. His agent says he was hit by a car in South Florida this morning.

(Edited because I misread it: He would have been 25 on May 3.)

Norm, Sagat, Gottfried.  This sucks.

And somehow Artie Lang lives on.

I've never heard "the Aristocrats" joke, but it is a classic that many comedians tell with their own stylings.  It's supposed to be extremely off-color.  IT kind of demonstrates your comedic chops. There was a movie several years ago, maybe by one of Penn or Teller, that goes into different comedians telling it and the history of it.  At any rate, IIRC from a description of the movie, there was some sort of public performance right after 9/11, one of the first, back when everyone couldn't figure out how to get going back to normality and resume with life.  So, the movie picks up on how Gilbert Gottfried loosened everyone up by going up and doing his version of the joke.

In that spirit, I do agree losing him was tragic.  I heard he was calling for help his last couple of days, but no one would come because his voice was so grating.

you're thinking of the Hugh Heffner roast shortly after 9/11.  Gottfried told a joke about booking a flight with a layover at the Empire State Building, the audience groaned and so he went into a telling of the aristocrats joke. IIRC, that was the first time the joke had ever been told on stage, it had always been an inside joke that comedians told to one another backstage.  His telling of the joke prompted the making of the movie, co-directed by Penn Jilette. The roast video is on YouTube, I won't link it here for obvious NSFW reasons.

However, this is clean, and one of his career highlights:

ESPN says lung cancer. Man that's young.

so he and Gillies within 3 months of each other.  I'd be getting a physical soon if I were Bryan Trottier.
