I find it interesting that Notre Dame has been solidly in the tourney for weeks per most experts and VT working their back into the bubble. But VT was favored by a point. The odds makers know who the better team is without the committee. Beat them for the second time this year.
Looks like Atkinson was pretty much a non-factor.  no inside presence unless he gets going.

Seems the Hokies should have punched their ticket tonight although apparently Joe Lunarsi still has them out. Just beat Duke tomorrow to make sure.

Looks like UMBC will not win but fun to watch Rogers play at 5’2”.  His father was a very good player at GW years ago. I think he was like 5’5”. Vermont could be a tough draw for one of the top teams.

Both Lunardi and Jerry Palm (CBS) have them out.  However all their technical scores (NET. BPI. kenPom) should have them in. Question is will they drop out Wake Forest or Notre Dame and stick with just five from the ACC. Bubble teams from the other major conferences have been doing well also such as Indiana and Texas A&M.

Lunardi still has them on the bubble. He thinks Seth Greenberg is still coach.

Yale wins the Ivy bid.  Their starting point guard and their primary backup big man are Dc/MD kids. Bez Mbeng played in the DC catholic school league and was 1st team all conference at Good Counsel and starts as a freshman, while EJ Jarvis is a junior from Maret School and was all "state" as a senior.  Mbeng looked very good.  I wonder if he got to Yale as a recruiting lapse locally or whether he turned down schools for the academic opportunities.  Yale coach Jame Jones was mentioned in the Athletic as one of 3 candidates for the Penn State job.

Always happy to see Princeton lose. Purdue is a rough draw.

well, Yale didn't really deserve a better seed.  They had a very tough schedule at the start of the year (at Auburn, at St Mary's, as Seton Hall, I think at Vermont, a few others), which was before their two freshman were starting and getting major minutes.  Only two seniors get regular PT now, so it is a learning trip.  But their last two trips had them go against Baylor and Duke (win v Baylor) then LSU in 2019 when they went pretty deep.  Just hope the kids keep their heads and Swain is accurate so we canmake the game interesting.  I haven't seen Purdue, but they're not that dark of a horse, right?  What is their style?

Former Penn star Matt Langel coaches them.  Is this 3 of the past 4 tourneys?

I think generally score a lot and not much D.  The Big Ten has morphed into the Pac XII.
