Gausman to the Jays, 5 years, 110 mil
Interesting because he is the Mets back up plan if they don’t get Scherzer.

he's a guy who is actually "worse" away from Coors.

age 31- 35 seasons.  Didn't have much success in the AL East when he was with Baltimore.  Seems like they are looking for a couple of years high level, then a couple years average, and hope he ages well.  HE probably could have gotten a bit higher AAV, but  the years I think clinched the deal.

The Gray deal I think will turn out to be a steal.  Very nice risk / reward to that.

Also, an interesting guy for me was Michael Lorenzen, who signed with the Angels for 1 year $7MM.

Looks like Seager to the Rangers as well for 10/325.   Rangers are spending a lot of money to go from a 100 loss team to a .500 team?

And Soto's asking price might end up being 13 / $1 billion

Does anyone know what Texas is doing? Even with these signings they still don’t seem like a contender. Angels South.

I heard the Phillies just signed MVP Harper to a 10 year $250 million contract.  Seems a bargain given these other deals.

Terms?  Also, cross post in the former Nats thread.

Kirby Yates signs with Barves per mlbtv. 2 year deal, $8
25 million, with an option. Nice signing.

add in the $15 million that the Nats will be paying him, and he's making more than those 4 teams before additional commitments.  I can't imagine the Mariners staying that low.
