Even with their 324 million ace on the mound, the Yankees were pretty ready and willing to go to their BP in the 3rd.    And it was probably the right move as their bullpen has guys who will be situationally better the rest of the game.  I almost hope Max goes long and Dodgers go deep or the concept of ace starting pitchers could be done.

I’m not joking. I know what the backwards K means, but usually people don’t want to be seen on TV holding up signs that read ‘KKK’. So I’ve seen some people put the third K backwards until there is a 4th.

Watching a Yankees-Red Sox playoff game would be like watching a computer play blackjack against the house, except with the added entertainment of the cards being dealt at a rate of one every fifteen minutes while it's interspersed with discussion of crap that happened when the computer played blackjack against the house two decades ago.  Pass.

that takes thought. I am sure that if you regularly hang ks, you will catch on and avoid 3 ks and nada mas, but I will also guess first timers mess up all the time. 6ks now so point moot

Spoiled by MASN. I guess I'm just accustomed to Nats broadcasts. Bob and FP make these ESPN guys sound like amateurs. The original Bob, Bob Wolf, wrote about how hard he and Joe Garagiola prepared for their Game of the Week broadcasts, because they didn't want to sound like Dizzy Dean, an idiot who joked about knowing nothing. Matt Somebody and Alex Rodriguez appear to have walked in with nothing and said, "We're ready. ARod can tell stories about the 2009 Yankees and the rest of us can agree". They play it somber and straight, as if nobody will notice they have nothing to say.

ESPN is to baseball what NBC is to the Olympics.  They spend so much time trying to make a marketable product to people who don't care about the sport that they make it unwatchable for actual fans of the sport.   I can't believe they interview managers in game in a one game playoff.
