It’s amazing to me how a major league bullpen could be so bad. For years. They even won a World Series with a bad bullpen, which is absurd. You would figure something would stick.

And from here, it goes down, down, down with the infamous Nats bullpen.

Strasburg siting. Telling Fedde that even injured he can pitch better than him.

FP, it looks more like Strasburg ignoring Fedde. As he should.

You gotta feel bad for Adon.
Why?  He pitched great. He will have more opportunities. No one tracks wins for starters anymore.

He is what the Lerners want. Cheap and under team control. The worse he does the less they will need to pay him next year.
You cracked the code.

Score level at 5 at the seventh-inning stretch. At least we have D. C. Washington to do 'God Bless America'.

No, don't retire a number. Only the Yankees do that. And the Mets because they imitate the Yankees.

Is that Rick Flair or an old woman directly behind home plate?

Will Avila have his number retired in DC? That was a helluva 34 games.

I guess. Although for a young pitcher his first Major League win is still a big deal.

Agree. With the way sports are it is a rarity to have a guy play so many years with one team.

All imitating the Yankees, including the Montreal Expos. No Washington player had his number retired. Walter Johnson did not have a number, of course, but not Goose Goslin, not Joe Cronin, not Cecil Travis, not Early Wynn, not Mickey Vernon / Harmon Killebrew (both wore number 3), and not Hondo.
