I've been trying to find why Aldo Ramirez is an adequate trade for Kyle Schwarber. Some of the other trades did not return much either.
give him chance. He was very good in high A. Got hurt.

I think that calls for magic mushrooms.

I'm getting ready to whip up a marinade for the flank steak I bought earlier.  Let it sit overnight and throw it on before game time tomorrow.  If you're wise, you'll want to pull out your billfold and lay a nice, crisp dollar bill on the Nats tomorrow.

Kieboom is the gift that keeps giving.  To the opposition.

Like I said rentals get you very little.  Unless it is someone like Max.  Riley Adams and Lane Thomas seem like decent players in addition to Gray and Ruiz in the Dodgers trade.  The others are lottery tickets.

I agree about Adams and Thomas. Casey did pretty well for the Dodgers and Nats at AA, although he was not quite ready for Rochester. The catcher, Drew Millas, they got for Josh Harrison and Yan Gomes has looked pretty good at High A in both the As and Nats organizations.

Nearly every day is a tough day for this bullpen.

Officially announced a sell-out - 41,465 (per Slowes just now).

Slowes just said this is the second-biggest Nats crowd of the year.

It's tough when your top guy in the pen can't come back after getting one out then sitting. Goes for both Finnegan and Rainey

At home now, thinking about the game. It actually was an incredible game. Gray was very good, Houck was perfect, both teams had bases loaded and came out with minimal runs, and even after the 9th inning meltdown by the Nats, they got the tieing run to the plate
