"The Fredericksburg Nationals will play a more balanced selection of opponents in 2022, facing off against 10 of the 11 other teams in the Low-A East. They will welcome the Charleston RiverDogs (TB, April 26-May 1), Augusta GreenJackets (ATL, August 9-14), and Down East Wood Ducks (TEX, August 23-28) to FredNats Ballpark for the first time, and make their first road trips to Kannapolis, Myrtle Beach and Augusta."

Did not know there was a Texas team in the league.

those are the affiliations, not team locations. I assume the Down East Wood Ducks are a Maine team.

Edit - Kinston, NC

Peyton Glavine is on their roster.  Yes son of Tom.  And yes a pitcher.  And yes, left-handed.

but does he play hockey, too?

His dad was draft high, maybe a first rounder.  HE was very good in high school but elected to play baseball instead.

Checking the wiki, he was the 69th pick in the draft, going to the kings.

Has anyone listened to their radio broadcasts? Apparently their announcer has a — let’s call it unique style.

By the way, the @FXBGNats just won, 3-0, with Bryan Caceres and Andrew Alvarez combing to go 9IP, 0R, 3H, 13K, 5BB. #Nats

I think Theophile goes tomorrow.  It's about week after his last appearance.  I think they may be using a 6 man rotation because there seems to be a lot of 6 game series.

It's all 6-game series in the minors now except around the all-star breaks.

House gets hits his first two at bats. Then I turn it on and he strikes out.

podcast with the Fred Nats announcer.  About 15 minutes.  Discusses Theophile, House, De La Rosa, others.

I have taken my sons to a bunch of the games this season.  We even followed them to Salem in hopes of seeing the Fred Nats earn a spot in the post season.
It is nice to see them playing well.  The players are great and oten sign for the kids.

it's beautiful ballpark. Standing room only tickets are a great value.

Isn't a standing room ticket in the minors a "Sit anywhere you want and politely move when the seat holders show up" situation?

I love the FredNats stadium. It took 15+ years, but the Nationals finally have an accessible minor league team that fans actually want to attend. Potomac was an awful situation.

FredNats overcame an 8-0 deficit to win 12-8. Ftizzel went 2-3 with 2 walks but sadly, no home runs. Lipscomb went 1-3 with a double, 2 walks, and 2 RBIs, and Jared McKenzie went 3-5 with 2 RBIs to raise his average to .390 with a 1.039 OPS.

Susana started and went 3 innings, allowing 2 hits, 3 walks, and a run, striking out 4.

That Fred-Nats announcer was wearing his George Washington suit and wig. Not as sober-sounding as Dan K.

Yea, kind of. But in F burg, there are plenty of seats with tables that you can occupy for the night
