Happy birthday wishes to Dave Martinez!

Also Sean Doolittle, whom I've only just noticed is no longer a Red.

Nice swing by Kieboom.

Almost like Kieboom wants to be a hitter.

"Ducks on the pond"! Invented by the Nationals first broadcaster Arch McDonald. Began radio broadcasts in 1934.

What's the baseball expression for stranding your ducks on that pond?

"That's the Nats".  The Nats had won the pennant in 1933 ("the wrecking crew of '33"), and then most often finished 4th or 5th. And worse after 1946.

They have no chance at the playoffs so probably getting a rest.

Of course Nats fans are focused on the race for 5th worst record but AZ and BALT are tied with identical 50-105 records.

Reds fans were complaining about AsCab at first instead of Votto or Schrock. Turns out he's not the infielder they should have been worried about.

Not sure who’s having the worse day….the Nats or the WFT.
