Anyone who has ever been on a real bender knows that Day 3 is where the bill comes due.  TBL are going to suck this year.
Who is the female studio host?  Don't recall her being there before.

The Lightning have given up 12 goals over their first two games.  A couple were empty netters but still that is really bad.  Caught them still on the Cup hangover I think.

Alexa nee Shaw was here last year, didn't she take over Rob Carlin's spot?

Ok, I looked it up and she was under her maiden name.  She apparently married Michael Landestoy who played baseball at TCU when she was there.  He is the son of former Astro Rafael Landestoy.  Pre-trash can banging era.

I'm glad that Corey Perry left the Habs, now I can hate on him again  :P

You should be able to watch games on NBC Sports Washington. ESPN+ is for out of towners.

Tonight's is (I think) exclusively on +...no free trial either as far as I know.  Not sure I feel like paying $100 to watch Nate McKinnon score a hat trick off of Burakowsky feeds.

It's a national TV game. There have always been national games that weren't on the local channel. I don't love having to pay an extra $7, but in the scheme of things, not a big deal. I'll cancel it after this game, reactivate it for December (two such games then), probably keep it for January (one such game), and then cancel it again.

I just got Peacock to watch Paris-Roubaix...this nickle and diming is highly annoying.  Granted it's a drop in the bucket compared to what I'd spend actually going to all of the games so there is that.

Only saw the last few minutes but that is quite a victory against the Avs.  Are we peaking too early?

Sprong's breakout year?  Too bad Holland didn't make the cut for the Olympics in ice hockey.  Maybe he'll go skate in an orange skinsuit around the big oval and help haul away the loot.

Sprong's breakout year?

Be nice to see...

GMBM hasn't had too many clunker deals...good to see these trades working out...

Stephenson may be one of the bigger losses during his tenure...for just a 5th round pick this year...but the Cap no doubt loomed large in that decision...

Congrats, Carol!!!

So far, Kuzy seems so good. Sprong is much faster than I remembered, as in, "how much did the Caps need Vrana?"

One notable: no teams other than the Rangers seem so afraid of Tom Wilson that they added fighters.

Caps now trailing 3-nil with 2.22 left in first: Flames' Lindholm scores shorthanded.

This game is adding to the trade deficit...
