Gonna be an uphill battle...that's for sure...

Gotta wonder who we jettison in order to sign Ovi and stay under the cap...a cap that we somehow managed to blow past in 2020-2021.

I hope we can find a sucker for Kuzy...he's become every bit as useless as Robles...at 10x the cost...

Pretty much the worst case scenario for the Caps. They lose a decent goalie who was cheap. They got zero cap relief and will still have to make some moves to stay under the cap. Whoch they blew past last season. And they still have an empty suit for a coach.

Yep.  GMs around the league must be gnashing their teeth and sticking pins in Ron Francis dolls.

Flyers had to give away two draft picks for someone to take Ghost Bear and his salary.

if any of you are near the team store in DC today, they are having huge merchandise sales, including $1.00 t-shirts.

I saw something on channel 9 about this.  They showed one of those Wizards gold jerseys from the 2000s.  I loved those when everyone else hated them.

Davis Bertans socks were $1 a pair, as were Wizards beer steins.

If I buy those Bertans socks will my legs hurt?

You’ll try and put them on your legs but you’ll miss and they’ll bank off your knees

I'd pay $1,000 for SRO with a partial view to be there the night he gets 895...

...and he will...

164 shy of Gretzky, so he only needs about 33 a year for five years to make it.  Seems doable.

With Backstrom feeding him pucks for the duration, I reckon so.

Then Ovi can stiff Wayne when he asks Ovi for a signed, game used stick.  I asked Ovi in 2018 if Gretzky ever came thru for him on that promise and he told me that he hadn't...

Maybe he has since...

When the day comes, let me know how many tickets you're going to need for those games.

Game...singular...

I correctly calculated when Ovi would get #500, and took the whole brood.  Luckily, he came thru...he got #501 that same night, IIRC. .
