Hi, just wanted to share that Mathguy died on Saturday. He really loved WNFF, especially this season when our sick dog kept us from seeing Nats games in person.
Best to all of you who have engaged with my husband over the years.

This strange little community will be that much poorer for it.  I will really miss his wry wit.

I feel sick reading this. Mathguy was one of a kind and seemed to just absolutely love life, I am so so sorry for your loss, and our loss here at WNFF :(

I will never forget his laugh when my daughter asked him who number 45 was when he had on his “impeach 45” shirt at the last meet n greet  ah man this sucks :(

I am saddened to hear this.  Good man, and he did love that shirt.  Only had the pleasure of his company a few times, and he was wearing that damn shirt every time.  Even when I met him once up at the Lost Colony for a flight of beers.  He was a big fan of their Scotch Ale, if I remember correctly.  Next time I'm down that way I'll have to stop in and tip one back for him.

RIP MG

Debbie,

I enjoyed sitting next to you and Brian at the 2019 M&G game.  He will definitely be missed.

Debbie, I'm so sorry for you loss. Brian was equal parts unique, funny, insightful, and infuriating. But he loved the Nats and living in the OBX.

Debbie - sorry for your loss.  I used to enjoy running into you at CCSP when you lived here.  Brian and I had enough connections (New England, federal service) and interests to have fun talking and of course grabbing a beer at the Red Porch (not as much of a Loft guy).  Posting here, exchanging ideas, as well as more than his fair share of the ribbing that goes on on message boards I think was fun for him, most of the time.

I hope the well wishes of many bring you some comfort.
