2 RISP with less than 2 outs. What do we expect?

Missed the top of the first. What happened to induce Nolin to plunk Freddie?

Intentionally hitting players with a pitch is bush league...I don't care who does it...

I'm surprised Nolan went after Freeman for payback, but he had to hit someone.

Good for Nolin hitting Freeman.

Random journeyman protecting the franchise.

I suppose I should just strike Nolin's name from the starters and replace him with Murphy.

I thought at the time: "Well, can't throw at a relief pitcher. Hit somebody good." Freeman makes sense.

And I was only half-paying attention last night and did not realize the pitcher who hit Soto was Will Smith. While I think a lot of this stuff is bush league, Smith is even more bush league.

If I was Freeman, I’d be pissed at Will Smith.

From Jesse Dougherty; “Pre BP at Truist Park: Alcides Escobar on the mound pitching to catcher Luis García, who threw a couple balls down to shortstop Josh Bell.”

Guess Martinez assumed this would be a bullpen turn mop up game.

I’d be irritated if this was a real season, but worth making Soto happy in a lost season.

except that if he told Martinez that Soto was not hit on purpose he was freaking lying. Dude pulled a Hunter Strickland on Soto last night
