Why isn’t Zim starting vs a lefty?

Kieboom is blossoming.   Guy has been hitting rockets, even his outs, for the past month and a half

yadi was 3 for 7 against Fried before tonight.  Small numbers, for sure.  Also, I think the Barves have a lot of lefty relievers, so I could see maybe giving Yadi a shot and having RZ available to pinch hit late?

Gotta think the Lerners have put pencil to paper to figure out how much they can save if they simply don't send the team on the road...kinda like with Carp and FP...

People like to delude themselves into thinking that Espino can be a #5 starter for a full season.  But you see what happens when he faces a good lineup.  He would be a nice guy to have in Rochester for emergency starts when someone goes down.  If he is in the rotation next year it shows they are not competing.

He does have a lower era than any current Nats starter - a low bar but relevant.
The decision not to compete has been made in any case.

If we lose this game, no chance for a winning season.  Lame.
