I would have batted Adams before Parta and Ruiz.

The applicability of 'baby shark' expired a long time ago. Baby Shark has jumped the shark.

I think I need to go read "Last Letters from Stalingrad" to cheer up after that inning

I think I'll put on Mahler's 9th symphony (one of the most downer major classical works ever written) - and Bernstein's second recording with the Concertgebouw Orchestra is the most downer recording ever of this work.

Are you kidding? He had two good pitches to hit in that at-bat.  That was as just as poor as Kieboom's choke job last night.

When Parra came up, I was going to post again that the Nats lead the majors in GIDP, but I decided not to be too pessimistic or a jinx. I'm just happy my pessimism made no difference.

They'll need some time to remove the ordure from this first one
So, with the 2 admission doubleheaders,  howlong after game 1 does the 2nd game start?

Is it worse to get blown out 9-0 or to claw back to extra innings and then lose?  Bit of a hobbesian choice there

And there's the jinx. When I was orphaned as a child, I learned to never look forward to anything, so as to never be disappointed. I called it the power of negative thinking. It's pretty much become my life's leitmotif.

I guess hobsons choice is the correct term.  Though 'crap sandwich' also fits

if 3-5, K, 3R is "true form", I'll take it.
