I feel like Tres Barrera has looked really solid at the plate. Unless they don't like his defense, I'm not certain why he wouldn't be a part of the team's plans.
I think they want to see more of Riley Adams at the plate. See if he or Ruiz can force themselves into some burn at another position.
If the idea is to see if Adams can play elsewhere, shouldn't they send him to the minors to learn another position? Or is that more of "welcome to Spring Training, your crash course in the outfield begins now" type of thing.
