The owners really think that the fans are just going to come back. They think that fan support is a constant. This is going to really hurt baseball as a whole, and who knows if it recovers or not. Maybe it's not going to fall as hard as pro boxing did, but things aren't going to be the same.
Yep. And it will mostly be younger fans who drop the sport. And fewer younger fans will sign on board as new fans. Most of us old geezers will come back. At least to watch on tv. But less times to the park and less willing to pay for tv packages.
