Mets are 29th in runs scored and 10th in era.
Nats are 18th and 20th.

Well, isn't this a nice, and not wholly unpredictable, turn of events?

Did we get a 27th man for this game?

Garcia is a little consistent contact away from being a building block.

And his power and glove may mean that contact can be south of .250.

Amazing what he's doing considering he's only 21.

Basically three games within 24 hours (this one, the next one and 12:10:tomorrow). Even with the 7-inning game tonight, the bullpen is going to get a workout…

I was expecting two 7-inning games today.

Now I wish this was a 7-inning game.

So, is this like a challenge for the new pitchers? "Prove you are a Nationals reliever.  Give up some cheap runs and then a blast."

How many ways can one team blow a game?

I would rather get blown out than gag these leads away.  I think we all knew we weren't going to hold these leads.

Mets haven't score 8 runs in the last week and a half combined.  Playing the Nats is the cure for what ails ya.

If this Nats Classic rather than ESPN during rain delays is a thing going forward, I am all for it.

I just wish they would have Nats Classics in a larger box. They don’t need to devote so much real estate on the screen to show a tarp-covered field.
