Did anyone see the expression on the woman's face when the man she's sitting with caught the HR ball? :hysterical: no way they ever expected to catch a ball tonight

Kinda wasn't expecting Garcia to look so overmatched and Kieboom to, well, not.

Garcia is a very young hitter. He stands like Juan Soto, with that on-the-toes right foot, so I keep forgetting that he is not Soto.

Cheers for Tres. A keeper. Although that might have bruised some ribs.

As much as I hate the Mets, anything is better than the Phillies winning the NL East.  Gotta pull this one out.

The Nats seem to never have a rp capable of a consistent 100 mph fast ball. Many teams do. That makes a difference in the last couple of innings.

yeah, Soto had along stretch where he was rolling weak grounders to the right side of the infield that cost his stats

The Phillies don't have what it takes to win. They basically pitched three of their best four pitchers in the last two games and only won because of Patrick Corbin and Wander Suero. They just lost McCutchen for some time. I know the Mets are doing their best Mets impersonation, but I wouldn't be surprised if the team leading the division by September 1st isn't Atlanta. They've been a weird team all season, but somehow I think they could go on a small run and overtake both the Phillies and Mets. Really it doesn't matter, as even in a one game play in or a short series, the Brewers, Dodgers, Giants, Padres, and even the Reds are better bets to win.

At 6-1 and a 12K per game K rate, I’d take the crap.

He walks almost 9 per 9. His fWAR is -0.3. My mom is a Phillies fan (and not a terrible person) and Phillies fans hate him. Pitcher wins mean nothing and especially mean nothing as a reliever.

ERA 4.70
WHIP 1.748
8.7 walks per 9 innings
