Robles had 17 homers in 500 or so at-bats during the 2019 season yet he currently has only “1” homer this year as he approaches 300 at-bats. What the heck happened to this kid???
Robles often seems tentative at the plate now with a terrible approach repeatedly slowing his bat speed down when reacting to pitches he wasn’t expecting causing slow ground outs and lazy fly-balls - “especially while in favorable hitter’s counts”. He needs to put his good swing on it even when fooled by the pitch. Don’t give away an out for simply strike-one or strike-two.
Agree with most here on Stevenson - if the offer is still on the table, trade him for that bag of waterlogged baseballs before it’s too late.
