And he would be the Nats starting CF this season except the team needs to give Robles more time to show that he can be a major leaguer. Unless Robles is hit by a bold of magic, the Nats are, again, looking for a regular CF. Didn't we talk about "the hunt for the great White Whale"?
the White Whale was a CF leafdoff hitter. That's not MAT, at least on a good team.
FWIW, if we are talking about leadoff hitters, Robles's OBP by month:
April:.346
May: .346
June: .337
July: .254
Adequate for a leadoff hitter for the first 3 months but for the presence of Schwarber. Looks like his OBP started to dive around 6/25. Finished the month on 3 times in 13 PAs. Been about .250 OBP since.
