Was taking off to avoid the rain once it was 7-4. Train pulled out of Navy Yard just as I got to the platform. I saw next train 19 minutes. I grabbed a seat. Then a huge crowd showed up by the time i looked up 3 minutes later. I am still here listening to the police cars come up nj ave. Place is pretty packed. Gonna guess it was just street crime. Lot of that still around the stadium. Oh, well. I have my concrete pole to lean on

That area is only rough in one direction from the park, and it's the one where they probably wouldn't have let you out as it was a crime scene.

Isn’t the second game seven innings? I seem to recall that happening earlier this year - the suspended game resumed and went all nine and then the second game was only seven.

This actually works out nicely for the pen. Everyone who pitched last night can go in the resumption of tonight's game, and then Max can just pitching the 7 innings for the second game.

As long as Max doesn’t melt down like he did in his last start where the Nats lost after leading 8-0 against these same Padres.
