That depends - how old was our starting catcher in 2010?

"July 3, 2021: The Cleveland Indians designated Rene Rivera for assignment. The 37-year-old loses his spot on the 40-man roster as Roberto Perez (finger) is activated from the 60-day injured list. Offensively, Rivera has outperformed fellow catcher Austin Hedges, but a .236 average is still unremarkable and not enough to keep him around as Perez's backup."

here's our starting lineup for our first game after the ASB in 2010 (which we won, defeating Miami 4-0)

1. Roger Bernadina RF
2. Adam Dunn 1B
3. Ivan Rodriguez C (38 years old at the time)
4. Ryan Zimmerman 3B
5. Cristian Guzman 2B
6. Josh Willingham LF
7. Nyjer Morgan CF
8. Ian Desmond SS
9. Stephen Strasburg P

That wasn't a terrible lineup.

MASN is just wrapping up Nats Classics with JZ’s no-no. I miss Johnny and Ray.

FP is back.

And Bob is off again. Given how much he’s scaled back this year I think this is his last season.

We knew the allegations against Santangelo weren't credible, so for that reason only I'm glad he's back.

I think JMax really improved over time.  He's OK.

I agree with this. Not a huge FP fan but glad to see the system worked.

Bob, via Twitter:

My friends and conspiracy theorists: I'm off until next Friday. This is a schedule that MASN, The Nats and I agreed to last fall, so my absence has nothing to do with FP's return. FP and Dan will do a great job and I look forward to having the band back together next week.

Castro ain't coming back.  I wonder what he would've fetched on the market?

I would not go that far. Reporting says "inconclusive," not " not credible." On the bright side, they didn't hold reputation against him

He’s on “administrative leave” and it appears to be domestic violence related.
