To some. I like guys who can hit the ball hard the other way instead of trying to yank everything for a home run.
Everything in it's place. To the casual fan, which is really what baseball needs to have more of, they like to see runs put on the board. The diehard fan, which is what most of us on here qualify as, are going to be tuned in no matter what happens.
Could we draw lines in the OF also so the outfielders cannot play batters too far either way. Maybe horizontal and vertical lines. So they can’t play too shallow or deep.
I mean, sure, they could do something like that. I doubt it'll be that drastic of a measure, at least visually. The NBA has rules about what kind of defense you can play. The NFL does, too. So does soccer and I think the NHL. It's not unheard of to do something like baseball is considering.
