Had a bad May. Don't even want to share his stats. But he had a couple hits on Wednesday and a double last night. Showing some life.

I'm really happy with House. If he can string together a good week after a horrible month, I'll be thrilled. Good work for an 18 year old in Low A.

One conversation we had last year was how we passed on Khalil Watson for House. Watson is having a rough first year. Last I saw he was flashing power but had struck out in 44% of his ABs.

He's also had a ton of errors, although BA says not to sweat that

Hi - Thanks for the chat - Khalil Watson’s season has been a concern, so far: in particular is his 9:1 K/BB rate and eight errors - I’m not saying he isn’t talented but this start has to cause some concern, no? Thanks -

J.J. Cooper: I have zero worry about the errors. Young shortstops, great ones, often make a ton of errors. Javier Baez made 31 errors for a .922 fielding percentage in Class A in 2013. He had a .930 fielding percentage at SS in his final season in the minors. His MLB fielding percentage at SS? .965. Thanks to modern fielding instruction I really struggle to come up with the last example of a shortstop who was moved off the position because he made too many errors. Jose Offerman comes to mind, but that was a long, long time ago.

Infielder Brady House, drafted in the first round out of a Georgia high school last year by the Nationals, has not played since June 11.

“He’s injured a bit at the moment, a little banged up,” Fredericksburg manager Jake Lowery told Federal Baseball on Monday. “That’s all I can say. We will see what happens. We have had to hold him back so he can take care of himself.”

Hey, our House is a very very fine House. Don't bring Romero into this

No. I thought a couple months ago he was speeding toward being a Top 50 prospect. Right now, it’s really, really concerning. Still time to salvage the season.

teams aren't required to report info on minor league injuries. As of a few weeks ago, he was rehabbing in FL.

No reason to push him, but would love to know more about the injury.

A back issue for someone so young is disconcerting.

I want to post, "It was minor and they're clearly overreacting to a small problem to prevent it from being a big problem."

We have seen too much go wrong this season to believe that.

Even after a rough May, I thought this guy was on a jet headed toward being a Top 25 prospect. Really hate how things have progressed for him. Tough stuff.
