Need a sample size at least through May.
Yep. I'm perfectly fine to let him work through all of this through June

I was always perplexed by the idea he would stroll into the season and play 3B. His potential is massive, the bat isn't there.

DeJong is your 3B for a while barring an 0-30 slump consider the defense. Jose Tena with his mind breakdown vs Marlins and adding to two outs in one inning probably put off his chance for a while. I think Cayden Wallace is first up and I wouldn't be shocked if a hot streak from Lipcomb or Baker got them into the conversation.

Rochester needs a retractable dome. Or at least a big top like a circus.

He's putting up similar numbers that compare to the rest of his minor league career, with limited walks and a ~.770 OPS.

Still, hasn't been bitten by the org's 1st round draft pick curse which is sinking Crews, Seaver King, and Elijah Green.

Slick fielding: https://x.com/RocRedWings/status/1913295224522031509

When they were down 8-0 and lost 20-7.   He's also got a very non-promotable .720 OPS.  Last time Rizzo promoted a first rounder with a sub .800 OPS it didn't go so well, and still isn't.

Yet, here we are messing around with DeJong and Rosario.   Ridiculous

I can see the argument for keeping house at aaa. But even then, how do you justify starting dejong and Rosario over Tena. It should be tena everyday until house is up

Fantastic game for House.

But i think the 2-19 with 10 K's in the previous 6 games tells you why he's in the minors.

Hes not ready. String a hot streak for a month, and then you're looking at a promotion.

Agree, he's not ready, but a later season call up could make sense.  He will undoubtedly struggle, but this team isn't going anywhere this season.

Getting him established at 3B will be a good step, because that position has been a rental hotspot since Rendon left, and it's time to top having so many rentals in the lineup, they never get flipped for anyone good regardless.  So I'm ok with him struggling for part of '25 to get him ready for '26.
