Gomes. Again and again, throwing out base-runners.
Like, did Pudge hook him up with the PEDs?

And to think you didn’t want the guy because of his defense.

Blacked out here for our home town Marlins. I am sure there are probably 100 folks watching them in central florida tonight.

I don’t know why Dave’s has Ross bunt. He is the best hitting pitcher on the team. It’s not a standard decision

Ross is one of the better hitters on the team. Something like the Old Senators' Camilo Pascual, who hit .302 in 1959. He also won 17 games that year, with 17 complete games and six shutouts, 2.64 ERA for a team that finished last.

Really like your references to the old Senators. I use to follow them and go to Griffith Stadium. I can still smell the Wonder bread.

I remember that smell, mixed with cigar smoke. Dad and I saw Pascual pitch one night in 1959 when he carried a no-hitter into the 8th. Had right-handed batters backing out on curves that wound up low and outside. Allison lined a homer...I could feel the percussion when he hit it.

Funny considering the guy couldn't strike out a little leaguer when he played for the Nats.

Miami now has a bench of only Sandy Leon. Only two more relief pitchers.
