Started the second half of the season with more of the same

6 IP 2 H 2 BB 1 R(unearned) 6K

On the season, 67.2 IP 1.73 ERA 1.27 WHIP .163 BAA 86 SO 48 BB

Would like to see him in Harrisburg.

Also, can a mod spell his name correctly in the thread title? Put some respect on the southpaws name!

Another dominant start for Parker. 6 scoreless with 7 strikeouts. ERA down to 1.59, he's allowed 3 runs over his last seven starts. Needs to be in AA soon.

Yeah this is absurd. He should have been up a couple weeks ago. Need to see if this is a mirage or if he is a real deal prospect.

6 shutout innings with 6 Ks, 2 BB, 2 H. 2.51 ERA over 89 innings with 108 strikeouts. Not sure why he is being kept in A+ at this point.

ERA is good but he is walking almost 6 per 9 innings so that is probably the reason.  FIP is about a run higher than the ERA. But still not bad.

Really absurd he didn't get up to Harrisburg this season. A grievous example of the Nationals confusing reluctance to call higher performers up.

Hes walking guys at nearly the same rate as he's giving up hits. 65 hits, 57 walks. So I get it. He was pushed to Wikmington last year and struggled mightily. They probably want to see him try to develop at a level where mistakes wont hurt as much.

In July he gave up 7 hits in 18 innings. But walked 11. Now in August he's getting smacked around with 24 hits in 16 innings(6 walks).

I know he'll hit 23 by the end of September but not everyone goes at the same rate. Maybe they want him going unto the off-season with some confidence. Hell be at AA next year no matter what. A handful of starts there now won't change much.

started a minor league inter-squad game today against the Marlins and struck out 8 in 3 innings. Allowed 1 hit, no walks.

Not much room for improvement there.

Yet they'll send him to Wilmington.

he was pretty dominant at Wilmington last year so I assume he starts at Harrisburg and he does well there, we could see him in the majors this year.

Yeah, maybe he could replace Corbin in August or September if he does really well in AA.     (You have to be optimistic about something this time of year).

 Send Corbin to the pen!
