Schwarber’s slash line this far.

.164/.273/.388

If that can just drop a few more points, he'd fit in perfectly on this year's Nats roster!

That Schwarber stat line would make him like our 3rd best hitter :lmao:

That was against a position player pitching.  do you realize how that will mess up all the split summaries.  As LHB - OPS 5.00

A LH home run against a position player makes up for hitting .176 in May with only one other extra base hit?

Rendon hitting .206 makes it easier to stomach the Nats signed Strasburg instead of Rendon. The Stras signing looks like a mistake but it would be worse if Rendon was kicking butt.

Rendon got off to slow starts here, too. I expect him to get it turned around sooner or later. Maybe a goofy at bat like last night's will get him into gear.

Yep, but still, impressive.

Maddon listed him as a switch hitter on tonights lineup card

It wasn't necessary to sign either of them.  Not for $245M.  At least Rendon is on the field and will likely be a factor in the 2022 post season.

Rendon hit .240 last year with 6 home runs in 217 official at bats so at some point there has to be concern he's not going to come close to living up to that contract.

If he can get back to health, I would think that that is a lineup in which he could find his stride

I don't know what got into this guy Ward but if he keeps this up that's a scary lineup. What's ailing Rendon?

Brycd Harper has a mild tear of his UCL

He also had a 1.200 OPS on the month of May

Double and a three run homer in his first two at bats. Will get the PRP injection tomorrow and miss a few games. Dodgers will be  happy.

I'm watching the White Sox and Royals play right now and while Michael A. Taylor still has his boyish good looks, he seems to have lost a step in CF. He's allowed two pop flies to fall right in front of him in this game, one for a double.
