could you imagine having to figure who plays left and right field among Ohtani, Harper, Castellanos, and Schwarber? Brandon Marsh is going to have to shave and cut his hair to streamline himself so he can run down balls in both gaps.

i'm fascinated by how his free agency will play out (assuming the Angels don't resign him).  Ohtani as a hitter only is probably a $30 million player. Ohtani as a pitcher is a $30-40 million player.

I think he's the best player all-time (he just hustled a double against the Reds as I write this) but I would think the danger of giving him a 10 to 13 year contract based on his hitting AND pitching is how many years can he continue to do BOTH at such a high level.

What a bummer. The Angels season is over. He should have the TJ surgery now and sit out the rest of the season.

This would be his second TJS. He is probably done pitching for his career

Just terrible for him and baseball. But must be several teams breathing a sigh of relief that it happened before they bid crazy money on him.

Wonder what the Angels will offer including for next year when he basically will not play.  And pitching at all uncertain.
