In Saturday I was in Loudon County near Purcellville and there were virtually no cicadas. This is consistent with what a coworker of mine who lives in rural Loudon County said. They don't seem to have cicadas there. I was also in Centreville on Saturday and didn't see any cicadas.
Today I was in North Arlington and McLean and there were cicadas everywhere and you could hear the constant buzzing up near the trees. A cicada landed on me, which was a great honor.
