Seems rather odd:

Cycling bans controversial use of carbon monoxide rebreathing

https://apnews.com/article/cycling-carbon-monoxide-58922cbe0abd85a3305c0e40ef1def29#:~:text=Cycling's%20governing%20body%20has%20banned,protect%20the%20health%20of%20riders.

I read a technical explanation about how rebreathing CO during tests allows measurement of some sort of efficiency in the blood  but overdoing it can cause problems. The two top teams have been doing it for testing but their leaders are vociferous in favor of limiting it

Highlights of the first pre-season game - an entertaining game between Fremantle and the Indigenous All Stars.

Highlights of today's entertaining pre-season game between the Crows and defending Premiership Lions. Aussie Rules has only one pre-season game for each team, so both sides are close to their starting line-ups... ;)

We're heading to Raleigh tomorrow for the WPHL game.  The Lenovo Center seating capacity is right at 20,000 and is as loud an arena as I've ever been in.  TicketMaster has less than 500 unsold seats as of this morning.

We'll also be at another Minnesota Frost game in St. Paul on March 26th...a prequel to the game that Ovi gets his 895th goal...hopefully...

The WPHL says it wants to expand for the 2026-2027 season, but mentioned adding only 2 more teams, making a total of 8.  I think they're missing the boat by not thinking of more than that...the fan demand for more women's hockey is seemingly huge and the season is short with only 30 games per team.  That's only 90 total games this year...

I hope DC gets one of the expansion teams...we'd certainly consider becoming season ticketholders even with the long drive involved.  They could even repurpose Nats Park to host the games in between concerts since they don't intend to field an MLB team anymore...

The woman's game is fun...but the passing is kinda like watching a T ball game...kids go after a ball...no tellin' where it's goin'...

Aside from that...need a couple of scraps now and then...

Highlights of today's traditional Round 1 opener - Richmond v Carlton. Great first game.

I actually have video of me being in the DC Beer Snake situation back when the XFL was a thing. I even made it on the ESPN broadcast LOL. My jacket smelled like cat piss on the way home.

If you want to see the best lacrosse player in college have a completely dominant game, tune into Yale Cornell on espn+. Kirst for Cornell has a hat trick in the 1st 4 minutes. Yale's 3 regular starting defenders are all out, and the long stick mid covering can't keep up. As I am typing, he scored again.

Yale got it to 9-8 and possession late in the 1st half but didn't score, and Cornell got 3 more before the half. Kirst has 8.

Cornell's goalie tightened up, Yale's didn't.  18-9 with 11 minutes left in the 4th

Watched the third period and overtime of the Penn State and UConn men’s hockey.  Penn State wins to make their first Frozen Four. Their Russian goalie was unbelievable.

None of this 1s dominating in college Frozen four.

BC is down 2-1 after 2 to Denver. I think BC is #1 overall.

Unfortunate that 'UConn' sounds like a scam website... :D  (although, at least it's not 'ConnU'...).

VT mens baseball sweeps #16 Wake Forest.  Softball team sweeps #16 Stanford.  16 is my favorite number.

It's funny because we are so used to UConn after the basketball teams' success that I would not even think of that.

When I first started at Georgetown, whenever people said U Conn, I heard Yukon and had no idea what they were talking about.

So WNBA players are discussing the potential for a work stoppage.   :hysterical:

Aside from the fact that virtually nobody would notice, I would think the NBA would be happy to pocket that +/-$40MM/year they are currently losing...

They’re selling expansion franchises for $50 million now. I’m guessing Lacob didn’t pay that to fold the team.
