That's the only well-hit ball of the inning. Albies, Contreras.  But Rainey had no control tonight. The walk to Pache was pathetic.

wouldn't matter if we did.

We’ll end up scoring three meaningless runs now.

Naw. Its the only well hit ball that fell for a hit. The fly out to Schwarber was well hit. Albies nearly had a homenrun earlier in his atbat.

But yeah, Rainey wasnt good. Yet another pitcher we can't develop.

because he could not throw a ball on the edge of the plate.  He aimed for the middle of the plate, hard, and he finally put the ball where he was aiming.

(1) Robles continues to remind me that he is not Willie Mays, not Vada Pinson, and not Tony Oliva.

(2) Rainey continues to be the young relief pitcher with a lot of arm and a lot of promise. A prospect. Not as much a prospect as that 100+ mph guy the Nats had about ten years ago, Henry somebody, but...

Sounds like me playing golf.  Will be hitting unintentional draws all day.  Then first time I aim right to correct it, I slice the crap out of it into the woods.

Pache misplayed that almost exactly like he misplayed Soto's walk-off hit at the beginning of the season.
