Forgot to add, Rochester was playing Buffalo, the Blue Jays affiliate. George Springer was there on a rehab assignment. We and other fans had a delightful time booing and banging our seats every time he came to bat.  :D

We were there Thursday. It’s an older ballpark, but a nice place to watch a game. The concourse has an almost life-size statue of a horse made entirely of old baseball gloves. Why it was there and what it represented I don’t know, but it was certainly interesting. There’s also a rather neat statue of a huge flying Red Wing raptor-type bird. Parra was starting that night, using Baby Shark as his walk up. We and a few others did the shark thing, but the most fans there didn’t get into it. It’s their first year as a Nats affiliate, so there’s not a lot of Nats history there.

I remember the Red Wings as a Baltimore Oriole AAA team for years and years.

Tried to go to the game tonight but got delayed and didn’t get there until the start of the sixth. Box office was closed and we couldn’t even get in to go to the team store and buy hats. Kids were exceedingly disappointed. There were maybe 2-3,000 fans there tonight from what we could see through the gates. Security guards who directed us to the box office said they couldn’t do anything. Really disappointing.

Garcia and Sanchez are back from injuries.  Still no Kieboom.  Stevenson is hitting .500 in his rehab stint.

34 year old first baseman Brandon Snyder pitched last night in a blowout loss.  He gave up 5 hits and 3ER in a third of an inning.

Today’s game suspended in the bottom of the first after a Lehigh Valley player suffered a medical emergency and was rushed to the hospital. :(

Player was Daniel Brito, apparently suffered a seizure but was alert and conscious when they took him off the field in an ambulance.

In surgery per this tweet.  Brain tumor?  Very unfortunate whatever it is.

Saw him a few nights ago on the Redwings broadcast. Sad, sad.

Look at this!

- Ben Braymer pitched six shutout innings, giving up only two hits
- Tanner Rainey pitched a shutout inning
- Aaron Barrett got the save, although he gave up his first run in Rochester

- Lane Thomas played CF and went 2-for-4 with an RBI
- Keibert Ruiz went 1-for-4 with a hit and an RBI, that hit being a homer

The Red Wings got six shutout innings from Ben Braymer and home run from their new prospect in a 3-1 win over the Syracuse Mets Tuesday night at Frontier Field.

In his first game since being traded to the Nationals organization in the Max Scherzer deal, Keibert Ruiz, Washington’s top prospect, hit a line drive into the Wings bullpen in right field in the eighth inning. Ruiz also threw out a runner trying to steal second in the game.

Brandon Snyder hit his 11th homer for the Wings in the sixth inning.

Lane Thomas – also making his Red Wings debut since coming over in a trade – put the Wings on the board with an RBI single in the fifth inning.

Braymer allowed just two hits over his six shutout innings. Four Red Wings relievers combined to cover the last three innings.

Next Saturday the Red Winds are having a 'grim and depressing' night. I assume they just show pictures of our relief pitchers on the scoreboard during the game.

2021 marked the first season that the Rochester Red Wings were affiliated with the Washington Nationals.

The Red Wings regular season ended with a 5-1 loss to the Buffalo Bisons Sunday afternoon at Frontier Field and went 1-for-7 with runners in scoring position and left 11 on base. Rochester will participate in the “Triple-A Final Stretch,” in which they will play 10 games as part of a new postseason tournament featuring all 30 Triple-A clubs.

Each team will play five additional home games and five road games. Rochester will play five games at Worcester from September 22-26 and will host Scranton/Wilkes-Barre from September 29-October 3. The first four games against the RailRiders will be at 6:05 p.m. and the season finale on Sunday will be at 1:05 p.m.

For each of the Triple-A leagues, a regular-season champion will be crowned based on the overall winning percentage through the originally scheduled games. Among all 30 teams from both leagues, a single Triple-A Final Stretch winner will be awarded based on the highest overall winning percentage during the added 10 games. The winning club will be awarded a prize from Major League Baseball.

Third baseman Jake Noll led the Red Wings in Batting average (.305); Runs (59); Homeruns (17) and RBI’s (67). On the mound, Ben Braymer led the team with Wins (7) and strikeouts (72).
