It sounds like he’s choosing to scale back. I know we give him grief but he’s a solid broadcaster and he was super gracious the one time I met him in person.
If he is scaling back sort of indicates this is his last contract.  He’s 68. Not everyone wants to be like Vin Scully.

So I am about to reach the end of my second week on my 7 day free trial of MLB tv.  Wonder when they will catch up with me?  Probably end of April.

Stroman is a good pitcher but not as good as he has been the first few starts. Regressing to the mean.

2 runs in 20 innings before today. 4 runs in 3 innings today.

And Ross appears to be back.

My SiriusFM free trial expired almost seven years ago, but is still going. I think that's just because the receiver is built in the car, though, and there's no way to turn it off.

How do they feel about robot umps?

I haven't asked. I don't like it, even though it might give us a more accurate strike zone. Humans play the game and humans have always umpired.

Did you not need to provide a credit card to activate it?

Keith Hernandez with high praise for Trea Turner, in general, and especially on that "spin-a-rama" play.

Yea. They have my credit card. I keep checking that and also my MLB account. Says I have no active subscriptions.

I worked for Sirius. They turn on the receivers in the auto factory. Hard to turn them off, since, at least a few years ago, Sirius had no good way to address an individual receiver.

Hernandez really needs to be on an AL team.

Is he such a bad fielder? I don't remember much about him.

Catchers used to not have mitts and it used to take 6 balls for a walk. Also, the batter used to be able to call for a high or low pitch.

Sure, 150 years ago. Not since the AL was formed, and probably not after 1885 in the NL.

I’m just saying that rules change to adapt to conditions.

I'm almost inclined to believe the HBP was deliberate, even though it forced in a run.

did a good job disguising the intent by loading the bases before it

Or for just the sake of knee-jerk reactions.
