think he'd get a better offer.  But I'm not sure if a contender needs a SS.

Any contender could use his bat, and he could play 2B or even CF in a pinch.

So fedde stays in the rotation and Corbin moves to the pen?

Let's see if Strasburg is healthy.  I think they might just skip Corbin once after that mess, but Lester will need a turn or two to get stretched out.

Lester has another rehab start, so it'd have to be Voth making a spot start with McGowin up.

I guess this is why they drafted Fedde.  Nice to see him pitch this way.

nice outing.

Unless they score a couple this inning, I think Fedde is done.  95 pitches is the longest in a while, and the pen is rested

Pitch count and rested bullpen?

and a stretch of lefties.  HE was at 95 pitches.

Clay is good.  That's the first well-hit ball off of him that i've seen.  The 3 runs he gave up in LA were all incredibly cheap contact followed by a gopher ball his relief (Rainey or Finnegan) gave up.

It's April, he'd just had a 20-pitch inning with a walk to get to 95, and the starter went 7 yesterday.

When the bat comes around, Pavin Smith is a damn good baseball player. I really like this Diamondbacks team.

Are we ready for the conversation that Rizzo's "big addition" is batting .111 and falling?

I am still all in on Josh Bell. It is early.

Bell hit .383/.456/.872 in 18 spring training games and this is only his fifth game back from the IL, so I'd agree it's a bit early to give up on him.

It's also the same for Schwarber, Mercer etc and they don't seem to be having the same issues Bell has of being a disaster at the plate lol

Agreed, but not too soon to split time more evenly with Zimmerman
