Gomes is a slow poke.

I wondered out loud if the Buffalo couldn't have beat that out...

Due to Covid, the tv crews don’t travel. Home team feed used for both broadcasts.

Thank you. You guys are on top of everything around here.

Juan Soto with a very quiet 1.185 OPS. Ho Hum.

So I count 5 excellent starts out of 9 games.  Both of the ones by Ross.  Max's second start.  Stras' first start.  And Fedde's second start.  Unfortunately three of those were wasted with no offense.  I still think that starting pitching is the strength of the team and will show that way as more games are played.
And of the 3 that were wasted, all were before 3 regulars were back in the line up.

Lane Thomas should probably think about how he can contribute on defense.  Because CF sure ain't it.  How many runs has he cost the Carpentals today?

So . . . who for the 9th?  Hand or Hudson only if they want and need work, otherwise Finnegan?  Voth?  Avilan?  I'm saying Finnegan (unless you tell me somebody is warming up already).

When Bob said, "Austin Voth coming up in the 9th." I thought that sounded a little odd. He has only ever come in to a game in relief in the majors 5 times before today, all in middle innings.

Hernán Pérez has two more career relief appearances than Austin Voth.

Anyone else get sick to the stomach when we have a 6-0 lead against the Cardinals?

Robles makes the catch. Hitting .194. I still like Michael A. Taylor: .333 average, .896 OPS.

Nice win.  Only got to see the last few inning missed all the excitement.

well, he's sort of a low leverage mop up guy. he should be able to protect a big lead and save the A bullpen (Hand  / Hudson / Finnegan).  I'm sure they weren't pleased to burn Rainey.  Good to see if he can pitch back to back days.
