Is there any reason why Zimmerman should not be the everyday first baseman, even when Bell returns? He's seeing the ball great, and he's a huge defensive asset.

Maybe for a while. He's got some age on him.

Swing the bat, hit the ball, score runs

Nah, I’d think Soto should continue doing exactly what he’s doing

Schwarb. There's no place else to park an inferior defensive player.
He can catch. In fact prefers it.

This lineup needs POWER. Bell provides that. Zimm is a bench player at this point in his career.

I was out of the room for a few minutes are you talking about Stevenson?  I was just curious about him.  My top favorites are Zim and Max.

A bench player leading the team in hitting. Try Bell in LF Schwrber C.

What exactly have those hits produced? 0 hr 0 rbi. This offense is dreadful. Bell at least gives you the threat of going deep.

Don't disagree that Bell needs to be in the lineup. As hohoho posited, maybe Bell can play LF, with Schwarber a super-PH. Zimm is such a plus defender. And judging by his spring and play so far, Zimm is hitting the ball clean, certainly earning his starting keep.

Forget about 19-31, this is more of a 9-31 team.

Treinen has a 6 ERA so he’ll have a 1-2-3 inning here.

I know it’s early, but it looks like Nats pitchers haven’t thrown a single pitch with the lead yet this season.

They're getting lots of base runners.  Unfortunately not scoring them.

I think they led in one of the games they didn't win against the Braves. Edit: No, maybe not.
