Urm yeah.  On the other hand n=4 didn't look good for the Barves until they got someone to mildly roll over for them.

Getting Schwarber and Harrison back will help a lot. I like Bell,  but RZ is doing well v RHP.

Just pin this thread. It’s going to be a long season...

  • Let's drink a few for Mathguy.
We might need a "worst offensive performance in a series thread."

This thread is going to have more pages than the Nats have runs this season.

To be fair, theyve faced good pitching to start the season

It is also a bit early to make long-term judgments on the team's offense when pretty much the entire middle of the order has yet to play.

This is the "rapt attention due to morbid fascination" phase of the season.

We had 15 hits last night and only scored five runs. Our two shutouts this series we’ve had 8 hits a pop.

Baseball is a bit about luck, and that is hard to do.

We need Bell and Schwarber putting balls over the wall, not Andrew Stevenson and Yadiel Hernandez popping singles.

We’ve also only played the two participant from last October’s NLCS. Probably should wait a while until we make full judgement.

I hope Davey gets Bell, Schwarber, and Harrison in the lineup immediately. This offense needs a facelift.

Yeah. Let’s see where we are at the end of next week assuming everyone is back tomorrow.

We would be so lucky if Stevenson could regularly hit singles.  Dude is gonna need a telescope to see the Mendoza line, at this pace.

There is no way you take Zimmy out of the lineup.   Have to find Bell another position

Our clean up hitter with 4 singles in LA.  Need pop.

Zim is hitting well but let’s see if it is sustainable.

In meantime, go look at our pinch hitters recently. Being able to call up Bell or Zimmerman in a big spot will be a real boost. You want a PH who will drive in runs, not a guy who we’re thankful if they can even move a runner one base over.

he was crushing the ball but just not elevating it.  He was able to elevate it in the spring, so I really think he's pretty locked in and the extra base hits will come.

Not that concerned about the offense with the other bats coming back soon. Defense, perhaps. Also, we don't have Buehler and Kershaw on the upcoming schedule, that'll help, too.
