Zuckerman says Stevenson was only up to be the 27th man as the league treated today like a double-header.

Stevenson back to Rochester. I don't understand keeping Yadiel over him, Stevenson is far more versatile and arguably a better hitter.  Since his most recent call-up on July 3rd, Hernandez is .143   .250   .143 mostly in a pinch-hitting role.

I have more confidence in Yadiel at the plate than I do with Andrew. Bottom line is you'd hope the roster was such that neither had to be on it.

I also like the defense a lot better when Harrison is in the infield.

Stevenson was the 4th OF to start the season, that's a perfect role for him though Parra probably would have had that role from day 1 if not coming back from knee surgery.

I have no idea why Yadiel, Mercer, Parra, and Rivera are up here over guys like Stevenson, Noll, and Reetz. I don't think any of those guys have a shot at turning into frontline starters, but they have potential to be useful bench pieces. None of these old guys will be around past this year.

I like it. Need to see what he has so they can make a decision on him.

Best case scenario long term for this franchise is a Baltimore sweep. Need max to accept a trade and the Lerners to sell

So the big brain move is to trade Turner. Might as well sell it all and build around Soto for 2023.

If the franchise keeps Turner without a definite “we will become better this offseason by X, Y, Z” then they are fools.

These last two off seasons have been pitiful. And we all knew it.

Assuming they burn it down next few days, I wouldn't mind seeing this crew play next couple months

C: Barrera/Reetz
1B: Bell
2B: Adrian Sanchez
SS: Garcia
3B: Kieboom
OF: Stevenson
OF: Robles / Schwarber if not traded
OF: Soto

UTIL: Noll
UTIL: Palka

I know it won't happen and it is more likely we'll watch old guys like Arteaga, Brandon Snyder, and Yadial Hernandez, but I'd like if we got to see them roll out a crew of younger players who could maybe establish themselves as a bench piece or fringe starter in the future.

Honestly, Garcia and Kieboom should stay in the minors. Robles should join them.

Garcia and Kieboom should only be kept in Rochester if Dave Martinez refuses to play them every day.

No reason to send Robles down. He isn't going to learn anything new after 1,100 MLB plate appearances.
