To add to the irony, the MLB Network talking head whose bold prediction for this season was that there would be a record number of no-hitters, was Dan Plesac.

AL wild card is interestinger. Toronto is on a tear, even stomping on the Rays.  They are now top wild card after a 9-1 stretch.  The NYY somehow are still in position for 2nd wild card after a 2-8 stretch.  Red Sox a 0 games back but with an extra loss, while Seattle is now 2 behind the NYY. Oakland is a further .5 back.

Thank goodness for the Cubs.  Now the Phillies turn to see if they can get the record for blown saves in a year.

Side note. Phillies look best in the powder blue uniforms.
