Roenis Elias suffers "serious" elbow injury, heading for tests tomorrow.  Dude can't catch a break.

Clippard sucking pretty badly vs. the Brew Crew...

Given up 4 runs without getting an out in the 8th...including a 3 run dong...

Small sample size and all that, but Michael A. seems to be doing pretty well so far with the Royals.

Yeah, they might be pretty frisky.

Kinda hard to listen to one game on the radio while another is playing on TV, but as I glance at the TV, I see that Tanner Roark is not off to a great start against the Yankees. Four runs in the first and they are bringing in a reliever.

Roark might be cooked.  He was awful last year and it wouldn't be surprising for a guy who's almost 35 and relied on having just enough location, just enough movement, just enough velo.

Clippard out at least 6 weeks with a shoulder sprain.

Reynaldo Lopez has been terrible this spring for the White Sox and was just exiled to the alternate site.

funny how he was the guy who most looked like a lock out of Giolitio, Lopez, and Dunning.  Not sure how he bombed so bad.

They brought in the pitching coach who fixed Giolito to fix Lopez too. Posted a bunch of videos to Twitter of the two working together. Hyped up the return of Lopez's curveball which he had been told not to throw by the previous regime in Chicago.

None of it worked.

I attended Lopez's major league debut against the Dodgers. A Yankees fan I know texted me before the game to tell me how jealous he was because Lopez's stuff was electric. He got hit hard. Nothing has really changed since.

It’s a good spot for him. Team with low expectations.  It’s his job for now.

Didn’t he have a couple of stellar springs for us too?

Gio Gonzalez retires.  About 8 years too late, the embarrassing, cheating head case.

he is a lhp. I am surprised he didn't keep pitching until he was old enough to go to his dad's hgh clinic

I never thought highly of him. And I never appreciated how he acted on the mound with Severino. Didn’t think he had a lot of class for that.

His career spring training slash line is .322 /.358/.570. His best was 2016 with a .453/.491/.849 line in 57 PAs.

Walks were an issue, though. He has 7 walks in 40 PAs for KC this spring, compared to 13 walks in 306 PAs with Washington.
