Maybe this is another instance of me being an jerk, but I couldn't stand that freakin guy. He looked like he was developing a decent changeup and then out of nowhere he just stopped throwing it, which worked okay for him in 2012, and then caught up with him in a hurry. It seemed to go hand-in-hand with this scared mentality he had about pitching, which was frickin annoying considering he had natural talent and was a high first round pick for a reason.
6th pick on '07. Supposed to be the second best lefty in the draft after David Price. Moustakas and Wieters taken ahead of him too. Mad Bum dropped to 10th pick, Jayson Heyward to 14. Pretty unimpressive 1st round in retrospect. Todd Frazier, Travis D'Arnaud, Sean Doolittle and Josh Donaldson went in the supplemental round.
